I have been using the Cocobase OR mapping tool with GemStone/J, and it is
working out very well. Cocobase not only performs the mapping function, but
also generates all the artifacts (e.g. build scripts, manifest files,
deployment descriptors...) needed to deploy to the GemStone/J EJB container.
Starting from database table schema, the Cocobase tool will generate default
maps, and then the underlying EJB's. Maps can generate either entity beans,
or child dependent objects. The parent/child relationship linking is also
automated and can be bean to bean or bean to sub-object.
