I think he is referring to what is commonly used by ISP's and webhotels:
since it is way too expensive to let each provided domain have its own
webserver, one big "virtual" server is used which provide webpages based
on the URL that is sent, i.e. if I request
"http://www.company1.com/index.html" I will get one doc and
"http://www.company1.com/index.html" will get another. The returned
document is based on which DNS name that is used for the request (the IP
is the same for the two names).

All EJB servers I know of are in the "Big Bold and Beutiful" category so
they aren't designed to contain several servers within one VM, or even
take notice of multihomed systems. Anyone out there that supports this?
It is critical for EJB to be deployed on ISP type systems.
