Hi everyone,
Reading the included documentation about Oracle8i they promise that the
deployment operation for an EJB into the Oracle8i Server is made just for
kids but we couldn�t make that. Somebody can help us please?
The actions we took was:
1. Install Oracle8i into a NT4 Server including the JServer package.
2. Install the Oracle JDeveloper 2.0 Beta 2.0.184 product in order to
develop my EJB�s.
3. Develop an simple EJB to test the platform, just a "Hello world" bean.
4. Compile my bean just as tells in the documentation included.
5. Generate my deployment file using the wizard provided.
6. And try to deploy it into the Oracle8i Server.
And always the answer of the deployment wizard was "the operation was
interrupted".
We've tested all of the possible addresses and ports, we've realize that the
suggested port (2222) for the deployment operation (the default iiop port,
we supose) is not active, we tried to start a listener there but it doesn�t
work, we've also test the 2481 port with the ORCL SID included and without
it an it doesn't work. Our brains are empty.
Does we need the Oracle Application Server?
Does we need another version of the JDeveloper environment?
