I can't speak for the PowerTier tool, but I found InLine's tool extremely useful (and we did use it with WebLogic). It does only create the "skeleton" of the beans -- along with all of the other supporting classes -- but you can specify the attributes of the entity bean using the "Add Feature" function in the Component editor and selecting the "Attribute" option. In fact, you can do a heck of a lot more than just add attributes to the entity -- just look at the option they give you when use select the "Add Feature" menu option.

Another feature I found that I really liked was the ability to use templates to generate your beans. So if your company or project has come up with a special way of doing things (e.g., naming conventions, frameworks, patterns, etc) that you want to include in your EJBs, you can build templates that include the conventions and when your beans get generated, they will automagically pick up the custom template changes. INHO, pretty cool stuff and very powerful...

Subject: Inline tool

Hi

Has anybody used Inline Tool with weblogic?
I tried it with VCafe Enterprise as IDE
I hv't tried it in that depth but...

As per my experience it creates only the skeleton of both Entity
and Session Bean but it dosen't asks user for EntityBean attributes
Like the Object Builder of PowerTier.
Also It doesn;t ask for methods of Session Beans.

So it is not usefull at all ? Am i right ?
