Subject: Modelling Read Only Database Tables
To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Hi EJB Gurus,

What is the best way to represent read only database tables in EJB.

  I have following options :

  1. CMP Entity Beans
  2. BMP Singleton Entity Bean per table
  3. Stateless Session Bean
  4. RMI Server

To me option 1 seems overkill.
Option 2 seems ok, but I do not know how to make portable singleton
  entity beans.
For option 3 I would like to get some idea on how to make a
stateless session bean available to various clients efficiently.
I guess with option 4 I would have to worry about the server crash,
  restart, and synchronization.

I would appreciate if you would share some well established
  patterns, techniques and recommendations.

Thanks,
Mihir
