Hi, > I don't see anything explicit in the EJB 1.1 spec that either prohibits or > allows this. The EJB Spec 1.1, section 9.2.7 on page 125 "The remote interface is allowed to have superinterfaces" > I've implemented this pattern with BEA's WebLogic Server, and the > container code generation tools or run-time support didn't have any > problems with it. However, I can't give any assurances that it's any > more widely supported than that. I have succesfully used this technique with IAS4 but ran into trouble with Suns reference app server. It seems I had to redeclare the methods of the inherited interface in the remote interface so the rmi compiler would work. But it still allowed me to cast the remote object back to the common interface. Anyone else come across this problem? ---- Daniel Bradby [EMAIL PROTECTED]
