No, since WLS 5.1 is still in beta. You can expect a version of TOPLink
that works with 5.1 some time after the final release of WLS.

The default CMP support in WLS is "simplistic" to say the least. Which
is why they have partnered with O/R companies such as TOPLink. The
TOPLink implementation of CMP is a gazillion times better than the
default CMP. It will do lots of cool optimizations, but go see their
site (http://www.objectpeople.com/) for all the gory details.
In short: yes, you gain by using TOPLink.

TOPLink is tightly integrated with WLS and will take over many functions
(such as caching) provided by the WLS container when used. Don't worry.
They've got it covered. Read the WLS docs for more info.
