hi Arul,
I think the issues mentioned below still do not have any bearing on your
choice of application. You can obtain JDBC drivers to talk to almost any
database you have installed. I do not consider ejb1.0 really an option and
would look to a container that currently has support for ejb1.1 and looks
like its archtecture is up to the transition to ejb 2.0 when it is finally
released. Do not fall into the 'microsoft vapour ware' trap of going with a
vendor who declares that they have ejb 2.0 support when it is not even
finalized and their implementation is not even complete. Microsoft has
consistently used these tactics to keep developers locked into their
inferior products; just look at their recent announcements - 3 years down
the line. If you are going to do comparisons do them with stable
specifications and stable products. We should all keep an eye on the
performance measurement process going on at Sun which should have some
results at the end of the year for ejb1.1 compliant containers. It will be
interesting to see how the transition to ejb 2.0 affects the figures of all
vendors.

helo william..
In our case lets go back wards.
In the first case..lets decide that we r gonna use SQL Server 7.0 as our DB
and here it gets split into two
We can also write our EJB as per 1.1 spec and also 1.0.Lets consider both
ways.
Case 1: SQL Server 7.0 with EJB 1.1 Spec .
Case 2:Sql Server 7.0 with EJB 1.0 Spec
Now we can consider that we r gonna use Oracle 8i
Case 3: Oracle 8i with EJB 1.1 Spec and what driver to use..Whether the
Type IV driver from Oracle ( i mean OCI Drivers) or the driver from that
container vendor
Case 4:lll r like case 3 but with EJB1.0 spec
