You can even read an XML directly from a file using EJB. I have done this
using a stateless session bean to parse an XML file using an helper class.
You need to use any of the standard parsers to parse the XML

I do this all the time, no problems. However, I never read XML directly from
files, but from the DB. Also, containers that aren't written in pure java
may have problems. Anyway, I'd bet you shouldn't have any problems, except
the one involved with files + clustering
