No, you still need to provide the JNDI name of this ref, and this is done in
the proprietary deployment descriptor, not ejb-jar.xml.

You don't mention which server you are using (which is good :-)), but for
WebLogic, you would add the following to weblogic-ejb-jar.xml:

     <ejb-reference-description>
        <ejb-ref-name>ejb/TestmaximeHome</ejb-ref-name>
        <jndi-name>@@@the JNDI address@@@</jndi-name>
     </ejb-reference-description>
