You are quite correct, I much disliked being forced to use EJB 2.0 for
reasons not related to EJB 2.0 features.

I did like, though, using the EJB 2.0 preview while I was at it.

Vendors should provide full functionality in their stable releases *and*
supply preview releases.

As it was, I preferred
moving-to-preview-EJB2.0-with-no-guarantees-and-the-spec-may-change-without-
notice-etc to being left out in the cold.
