Hi,

  For ur Q2:

   What ever objects u pass to the EJB are has to
implement serialize,
this is required while passivating & activating the
bean.
One more thing, whatever objects u pass to the EJB are
only Pass by Value,
since it goes across the JVM.
If u want to make it Pass by Reference u have to make
it has remote object.
So when the EJB acts on the Object u passed will refer
to the object in the
client side.For further reference check Spec of RMI.
