Since when has the Gartner Group been an accurate forecaster of the
industry? Obviously servlets and JSPs are used more readily. Perhaps that
just might have more to do with the ease of implementation (essentially
paralleling existing technologies) and the expense (in time) of
re-engineering that is associated with EJB and server side Java than with a
rejection of the latter. Perhaps the 60/40 ratio of web vs EJB container
technology implementation prognosticated might reflect staged or progessive
implementations of the J2EE technology. Perhaps purchases are made with
the future in mind. Little things like that. But omniscient Gartner knows
better... Hardly!
