Tim, Jay:

While the spec does not say much with regard to EJBHome
(and EJBObject) being thread safe, in the Borland AppServer
both EJBHomes and EJBObjects are thread safe.

The decision of making EJBHomes and EJBObjects thread safe
is upto the vendor. In the case of the Borland AppServer, our
VisiBroker (CORBA implementation) infrastructure ensures that
requests to the server are handled safely even from multiple
threads. That is, our stubs are always thread safe.

Of course, the above might not be true of other vendors.
