Hi, 1. It all boils down to the fact the EJB spec is designed in such a way that 1.1 and 2.0 has got different way of storing data into database. I'm familiar with 2.0 instead of 1.1, in 2.0 what you are asking for is not possible as an entity bean is designed to correspond to a table in the database, if you are not using EJB environment then you can only apply such thing in an OODBMS (Object Oriented DBMS) environment.
