EJB 2.0 is fully compatible with EJB 1.1. As you have rightly pointed out that this is not possible with cmp-version 2.x model it is possible with cmp-version 1.x model both a part of EJB 2.0. All EJB 2.0 containers have to support 1.1 beans. Infact it is possible to package 1.1 beans in a 2.0 jar. > > 2. If one is "Yes", how to create a table for such a Entity bean (I mean > > what will be datatypes of the Person Table in the database, like say, > > Oracle. I specifically mean to ask the datatype of the column that will map > > to the Address field). This will depend on the server you use. Typically the server will require you to map the Address referene to a binary column. The container in this case will perisist the stub or the handle.
