Hi, While deploying a J2EE application, i have included a war file in the ear file. deployment descriptor for my web application (web.xml ) has combination of servlets and JSP pages. My doubt is regarding the <resource-env-ref> and <resource-ref> tags which appear under the <wab-app> tag. Actually i am not able to segregate between the resources , which should go under <resource-env-ref> and which should go in <resource-ref>. I have gone through the dtd documentation available at http://java.sun.com/dtd/web-app_2_2.dtd and it says that resource-env-ref is for administred objects and and resource-ref is for external objects. But it does not give any way to classify the resources as external or administred objects.
