Skype can at its own discretion decide to use your connection to route traffic of somebody else. Ekiga, I think, has adjustable jitter buffer, which sometimes really improves quality at the expense of latency. Skype uses pretty wide band codec; Ekiga gives you a choice, so bandwidth can be better utilized. Regards, Sergei.
