I asked myself that same question, Eugen, so went to look. According to Pandora Recovery, the utility I am using to recover my lost files, in addition to deleting some 20k files from the My Documents folder, the uninstall deleted or overwrote ~10k files from other parts of the hard drive, including in the Windows System32 folder.

So the question is: installing ekiga in My Documents folder removes My Documents folder upon uninstalling. Maybe ekiga considers that the installation folder is used only by ekiga and at uninstallation it removes it completely? -snip-
