I'm afraid nothing has changed in this respect.

Not that I know of.

I am of course willing to provide guidance and fast-track PRs if
anyone is willing to help.

I myself will likely not be able to work on this short-term, given
that my current employer has decreased its interest in ElastiCluster.
I have been discussing "paid support" options with an HPC consulting
company so this could be a good case to kick-start this kind of
collaboration, assuming somebody is willing to pay for adding
features.

Hope the news is not too discomforting!
