Hello dear fellow investigators,
Recently I and my father undertook a trip to Berlin and Poland in order to find out more about our family background. Our journey proved succesful beyond expection.
Through State and Church archives in Berlin, Gdansk (Danzig) and Elbag (Elbing) we were able to trace back the family line to 1741, the year in which the great-great-grandfather of my great-great-grandfather married.

Here is the result of our investigations: family history. <x-tad-bigger>

Please have a look at: http://home2.telebyte.nl/~milko/kretschmann/genealogy/fh_toc.html.
I'm interested in any kind of information about or links towards any of the persons in my family history, in particular the parents of the currently eldest known ancestor Michael Kretschmann, who married in 1741 in the catholic parish of Elbing. We didn't find his certificate of baptism in the parish register, so he most likely was born in another town or village.
Sincerely,
Milko Kretschmann
