Ok. Then there may be closer connections, although I can't establish  
them for now.
Apart from my ancestral line, the youngest generations are no younger  
than uptil approx. 1860.

BTW I made a mistake in regard to the birth place and year of Otto  
Kretschmann. According to the article
he was born in 1861 in Wengeln (I presume the Wengeln in East- 
Prussia, not Silezia).
The mistake is caused by the fact that, during my research in the  
civil archives of Gdansk, I came across a family card mentioning
the name Otto Kretschmann, born ar. 1860 in Mehlsack. I then  
immediately presumed it concerned Otto, der Zauberer, an assumption  
now proved to be wrong:).
