I don't know - I recently went to the the International Jewish genealogy conference in Chicago and was asked (again) if I would be interested in transcribing the film. I know I will be slow since I do not know German. I am only familiar with this film as that is what I am researching and one of my families was in Elbing. Jewishgen devotes huge efforts to indexing films of Jewish records.
The film does include dissidents but I would be hard pressed to identify them and we will index the entire film. Carolyn ----- Original Message ----- From: W. The film is written in old German script and covers birth, marriage and death records from 1812 to 1871. This would be an indexing project and the resulting index would be posted on Jewishgen. If anyone is interested in helping with this project please contact me.
