Please see section "Supported Target Architectures" in the ELDK 5.x documentation: http://www.denx.de/wiki/view/ELDK-5/WebHome#Supported_Target_Architectures We currently do not provide support for e500 (v1 or v2) processors, which include the MPC85xx and QorIQ family. When using the generic PowerPC target this will assume your CPU has a standard FPU, which is not present on MPC85xx systems, so your code will crash as soon as you attempt to execute the first FP instruction. Support for MPC85xx / QorIQ is a matter of priorites; so far, there has been no sufficient commercial interest to add support for such a configuration. Please feel free to contact me if you need such help.
