My suggestion (thought not cheap): 936-12 Solder Station (ESD Safe - Black)
get the tip cleaner too (you can refill it with Chore Boy pads) 599B Tip Cleaner http://www.kiesub.com/hakko936.htm I bought one for my KX1 build and it is a joy, I would also like to take the time to mention to everyone about the importance of a fume fan just to get the solder fumes sucked away from your breathing space as you solder. I made mine from old computer fans. If it was higher speed and volume this might cause a static buildup issue, but the iron I mentioned is ESD safe and I always keep a static strap on my wrist (another important thing to remember). Hope this helps. kb3ipe dt . _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [email protected] You must be a subscriber to post to the list. Subscriber Info (Addr.
