I used a thick piece of leather (about 1/8") cut in a disk same size as knob. Works great. I couldn't find any felt thick enough! Normal "pool table" baize is not thick enough. Where does one get thick felt? (Besides the brim of an old "smokey bear" campaign hat!) 73, Sandy W5TVW ----- Original Message ----- From: "Mike Morrow" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Art-W6KY Wallace" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, July 25, 2004 8:56 AM Subject: Re: [Elecraft] K1 Main Tuning Lock

I placed some hand cut felt washers between the front panel and the back of the VFO knob to add some stiffness. | | That doesn't provide what you ask, but it is a crude way to help in the absense of a lock feature. | | 73, | Mike / KK5F | _______________________________________________ | Elecraft mailing list | Post to: [email protected] | You must be a subscriber to post to the list. | Subscriber Info (Addr.
