Sandy:
I stole some felt my XYL had obtained at a hobby store (Hobby Lobby, I
think) and cut a couple thicknesses of it to replace the real felt washer
I'd given to someone who needed it more than I did.
The felt she had was about 1/2 as thick as the original, but a couple
thicknesses work just fine!

Works great. I couldn't find any felt thick enough! Normal "pool table"
baize
is not thick enough. Where does one get thick felt? (Besides the brim of an
old "smokey bear" campaign hat!)

| Hi Art,
|
| I also find the K1 VFO pot too easy to turn, even when I turn it
intentionally. I
placed some hand cut felt washers between the front panel and the back of
the VFO
knob to add some stiffness.
|
| That doesn't provide what you ask, but it is a crude way to help in the
absense of
a lock feature.
