Hi, I have recently completed K2 4039 along with the "K2" Heil Headset, SSB, 160m, ATU and Battery options. I have made a few (6) contacts on SSB. Yesterday we tried a contact on 20m just across town to a good pal of mine, and an experienced ham, to really check out the sound of the radio/audio. We worked through the Mic gain and compression options, but he advised that my audio was bassy and lacked top end / punch. His audio sounded perfect (Well to me at least!!) Ah.. This was a little disappointing.. But we needed to know. So, now the only other thing I can think to change is the BFO transmit offset? Is this a place to start??(!) Or what else might I have missed?
