Nicholas, If you simply set the BFO as indicated in the manual, the answer is YES you should crank up Spectrogram and adjust the transmit BFOs (FL1) for SSB - and CW too if you have not done so. Take a look at my website (www.qsl.net/w3fpr) article on K2 Dial Calibration for detailed information. QSL.net has been having some difficulties, but keep trying and you will eventually succeed.
