Well, actually, John, they appear all to be coming from messages sent
to [EMAIL PROTECTED], which is the "reply to" address for all of the
receipts. This chap appears to be using some sort of web hosting, Mai
- Yazlim, whose web pages are in some language I do not recognize,
(perhaps Turkish? Maybe someone can let us know). This hosting
software seems to have an idiotic feature of providing a receipt for
every message successfully received and, presumably, passed on to the
ultimate recipient, in this case [EMAIL PROTECTED] Now, maybe its such
a major accomplishment for this group to successfully receive a message
that they feel they must tell the whole world about it, but the use of
such software ought be banned.

If you look at them they are coming from 4 different E-mail

look similar, same name just add 1 2 or 3 to the end of the name for

Geoff:
I've asked the chap to turn off the dogs, but all I get is another
receipt confirmation. This has got to be the stupidest and most
inconsiderate kind of internet behavior, and I cannot believe the chap
has
allowed it to go on this long. I have also written Eric directly
asking
that the recipient be removed from the list if it doesn't stop.
This is, of course, Eric's decision, and I don't think he will take it
immediately without trying first to rid us of the problem in a less
drastic
manner.
It is hard to understand getting these receipt confirmations at
all, but
even harder to understand why we are getting 4 of them for each digest.
