For filter alignment with Spectrogram, you should be using a source of broadband noise at the K2 antenna input (like the Elecraft N-Gen or 'dead-band' noise). Attempting filter alignment with a single signal input (such as from a signal generator) can lead to confusion and frustration.

If you haven't done so already, look at the K2 Dial Calibration article on my website www.qsl.net/w3fpr. The CAL FIL part is covered in depth as 'Step 3'.

The links provided can provide you with a lot of additional information should you need or want it.
