David, Everyone has to do their own justification for the dollars spent, and the reasons one would want a second K2 are quite varied. I have 2 so I can play with one on the workbench and use the other one - but there are many times both are operating to perfection, I just like to tinker. Some folks use one for VHF transverters and another for HF, some folks will use 2 K2s for SO2R operation, while others have one K2/100 for the home station and a QRP K2 for portable. And there are folks that just want 2 of everything <G>.
