Apparently over a period of time some types of cooling oil in the Heath Cantenna and similar types can have a chemical reaction with the carbon in the dummy load even though it may have a protective coating. The ultimate destruction cycle was with vegetable oil where the resistor was destroyed in as little as one year. Frying tonight!
