Microwave monolithic IC's are an easy way to from DC- 6 ghz, My favorite is the one with 200 mw @1db of compression. I use this for audio amps, RF drivers, and IF amplification. They also make small signal MMIC's. The four lead device only requires 2 DC block caps, bias resistor. An rf choke and proper symetrical GND planes for over 50 mhz use, I am building an amplifier for the 150khz aux IF.
