Eric has ended this thread so I will not go into the bigger/smaller box
thing. But I think Nick has a good point regarding the auto-send mode.
In order not to miss a letter of "his" call whilst ending the auto-send
mode, I use the "Escape" button on my keyboard. In N1MM that works great but
as far as I know, only in N1MM.
So Nicks suggestion sounds good to me.
