Erik, Most K2s do mot have any mods on them (other than those Elecraft has incorporated into the design). The other mods provide for some form of special function and if the function they provide is desirable for you, then you should investigate adding that mod. As one example, the 'W3FPR Fixed Audio Output' that I have designed can be added if you have a need for a fixed level audio output (I have only boards left folks).
