I have made an adapter cable to go between my forthcoming K3 and my Yaesu MD-100A8X desk mic. I opted to not connect the K3's 8V pin to the '100's 5V pin as I don't use the active filtering in the microphone anyway. As PTT and the UP/Down buttons in the '100 place a ground on their respective pins, I think proper configuration of the K3 will allow things to "just work". In the mean time, I made up a new cable and did not modify the stock mic cable that works with several Yaesu rigs. 73, de Nate >> -- "The optimist proclaims that we live in the best of all possible worlds.
