That doesn't work in my area- UPS ignores such notes. I recently went through the same problem and was able to get the package redirected. Elecraft told me they insure the package and by doing so they are bound by a UPS policy that requires a signiture on the recipient's end. Elecraft does offer other shipping options but they can cost a little extra. I suppose it's just another cost of doing business these days. Gary
