Ken, K3IU, is a master detective as it turns out. My K3 operated FB using AFSK mode but not on FSK. To make a long story short, we discovered a bent pin on one of the connectors connecting the front panel to the rest of the K3. As it turns out, this pin happened to be the one that carries the FSK signal from the ACC jack to the DSP board. Therefore FSK could not work. Ken was able to bend the pin back into position and carefully re-mounted the front panel. Fortunately it was not fatally damaged but replacing the connector is something I will keep in mind for the next time the rig is apart. Now I know why it was a bit more difficult to mount the front panel following the DSP board upgrade than I remembered, hi.
