I'm currently trying to run down a similar (?) audio problem. I upgraded software (4.14) and then set up for SS CW. It seemed that I had reduced audio on the right channel. After the contest I started setting up for SS SSB and I'm not TX in SSB, unless I whistle and then I get a bit of TX. I reloaded the previous setup and find I still have the problem. I seem to have very low TX and no monitor audio. Still trouble shooting. I suspect it is something I did, but your story has my attention.
