Sorry James but sometimes sitting in pile up that is out of control brings out the worst in us!
This is one of those threads that seems to surface every few weeks to all the same responses but your question about the status of current thinking on the subject is different I guess. Personally, I'm happy with the present set up, but will be happier when I find a quieter adaptor.
