I have two K3s and the NR is the same on both. If I had to identify a feature on the K3 that needs improvement, I would have to say it is the NR. I cannot find a noise reduction setting that is suitable to me. I realize this is a subjective, and you would have to compare the K3s noise reduction with that of another radio. I have owned the Ten-Tec Omni VII which in my opinion has the best NR on SSB without a doubt. I believe it is all in the NR programming and how the algorithms are set up. There has been considerable improvement from the time the K3 was introduced, but I believe there is still room for further improvement. I would like to see noise reduction with a minimum loss of signal fidelity.
