Please do compare opinions of The AF1 on the reflector too, gentlemen. My recommendation was only *my* opinion even though it's based on many years of pounding brass using such active filters going back to vacuum tube days.
I'm sure many others would like to hear other reactions such as yours as well. If I'm going to sit in front of my radio all weekend then I want LOTS of QSOs! So, I turn up the power. I was single band on 20m all weekend (I like being able to get a good night's sleep!). I'm using a vertical and worked 290 stations in 87 countries and 25 zones. I would have liked more QSOs but I napped through some critical periods on Saturday and Sunday afternoon. I'm very pleased with my country and zone totals though. I'll be ordering my AF-1 and cabinet next week.
