Try pressing the bottom right knob to the left of the VFO for about a half second (HOLD time), the VFO B area should say "MON xx" where xx is a number, and rotate the knob to a lower setting. I am using the K3 on PSK a lot. I turn the audio gain to zero and that mutes received audio. However, I cannot find a way to mute the transmit audio (annoying whine). I have rear and reread the manual and cannot find any help.
