I'm completely new to the world of the K3 and P3, but I actually can answer this one for you guys. There is a parameter located in the P3 called "Set the refresh rate (ms). If this is set to a large number the display will only refresh that often. If it happens to be set to 500 ms (1/2 second) or even higher the display will appear very jerky. Set that parameter down to around zero and you'll get quick sweeps that won't appear jerky at all.
