Tony, it is some kind of electronic keyer with a keyboard interface. Several companies make them and the capabilities will vary from one to another. K1EL makes them with or without the keyboard, or you can use one of the general purpose "super keyboards" as manufactured by Hewlett Packard, Dell, Gateway and many others along with a low cost or free logging program.
