Weird, but I have the same problem with the B encoder on one of my K3's. If I pull slightly on VFOB nothing changes. If I push on it slightly it works fine. I guess the first thing I should try is to resolder the connections on the encoder. Any other ideas? N2TK, Tony

Hi Dohn, Interestingly, I had the 1st problem I've ever noted with the "B VFO/Encoder" last night. As I was attempting to change the IF DSP the value would either not change or stick and shift several values at once. A couple of taps with my fingernail on the knob seems to have cleared it right up. As well, I did have computer software running which was interfaced to the K3. 73, Dick - KA5KKT ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---- I checked the encoder and it was connected properly. I can't help but thinking I'm doing (or not) doing something right. Seems easy enough. If this hasn't been a commonly made mistake, I have to wonder about the encoder at VFO B. 73 Dohn Smythe N8EWY ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
