I built the KAF2 when I originally built my K2/100. I found that I did not use
the audio filters much, as they did not show much improvement on CW over the
crystal filter, and it is useless for SSB.

When the KDSP2 became available, I purchased and built the KDSP2. I find the
KDSP2 is a perfect addition to the K2.

In SSB, I have the automatic notch filter on all the time. I use the audio
filter settings to help shape the crystal filter in CW, SSB and RTTY modes.

I don't find I use the noise reduction much at all. It's not terribly effective
to my ear.

My opinion, skip the KAF2 and get the KDSP2.

Oh -- and I haven't found the clock feature that useful in either of these
modules. Oh well.
