Also for practical reasons, the popular marine bands is near to the I.F. of K3. Using K3 for marine communication seems not quite appropriate.

As far as I know, the K3 could not pass the acceptance requirement in it's present form. The primary objection would have to do with VFO frequency control, which is not permitted on the marine bands. There may be others. It is legal to use a marine SSB transceiver on the ham bands, where type acceptance is not required, but the reverse is not true.
