Before going too far down the trail about lacking detail, it's important to realize that resolution is also limited by the FFT parameters used to process the complex IF signal and convert it to the frequency display. According to N1AL, here are 468 active FFT bins. I haven't seen numbers for the frequency and time resolution of the FFT process, but the upper limit of frequency resolution is (F2-F1)/468. FWIW, I'm quite happy with the P3 display, and only wish it were smaller (that is, less depth front to rear) with a swiveling bracket to mount it to the underside of a shelf above my rig. 73, Jim K9YC ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
